1999 Yamaha XJ 600 Diversion excessive vibration at 4,000 RPM Just bought a 1999 XJ600 Diversion. Everything is great but there is a very High Vibration at 4,000 RPM, which completly disappears at about 5,000 rpm.
There is something funny happening to my revcounter, though. It shows zero for 2 sec, then it goes to 3000rpm for two sec and then to the actual revs for two sec. I spoke to a mechanic today and he suggested that it might be a fault code since the whole jumping from zero to three and then to actual revs happens in sequence over and over.
